ORDINANCE NO. ~
(Series of 1979)
AN ORDINANCE RECOGNIZING UNANTICIPATED SALES TAX REVENUES IN THE
TRANSPORTATION FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000.00 MAKING A SUPPLE-
MENTAL APPROPRIATION OF A TRANSFER TO THE TRANSIT FUND IN THE
AMOUNT OF $208,000.00 AND A TRANSFER FOR DEBT SERVICE EXPENDITURES
OF $68,431.00
WHEREAS, the City Manager has certified that there are avail-
able for appropriation revenues in excess of those estimated in
the budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has certified that the City has
recognized an unanticipated, additional $100,000.00 in revenues in
the form of additional sales tax collections, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is advised that certain revenues
and expenditures must be recognized and approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
Upon the City Manager's
certification that there are avail-
able for appropriation revenues in excess of those estimated in
the budget, the City Council hereby makes a supplemental appropri-
ation of current year unappropriated Sales Tax Revenues in the
amount of $176,431.00 and of unappropriated sales tax revenues in
the amount of $100,000.00 for the purpose of bus transit expendi-
tures in the amount of $208,000.00 and for transfers for debt
service in the amount of $68,431.00.
Section 2
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or por-
tion of this ordinance is for any reson held invalid or unconsti-
tutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and
such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining pot-
tions thereof.
