(Series of 1979) AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REENACTING TABLE NO. 33-A OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE PROVIDING A NEW OCCUPANCY DENSITY SECTION FOR ASSEMBLY AREAS, CONCENTRATED USE (WITHOUT FIXED SEATS) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen, Colorado, desires to repeal and reenact Table No. 33-A of the Uniform Building Code for the benefit of the City of Aspen, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1 That Table No. 33-A of the Uniform Building Code is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows: Use 1. Aircraft Hangars (No Repair) 2. Ail Others 7 20 Yes 50 30 Yes 10 50 Yes 30 300 Yes 50 100 Yes5 1 Refer to Sections 3318 and 3319 for other specific requirements. 2 Elevators shall not be construed as providing a required exit. 3 Access to secondary areas on balconies or mezzanines may be by stairs only. 4 Reviewing stands, grandstands and bleachers need not comply. 5 Access to floors other than that closest to grade may be by stairs only. 6 Access to floors other than that closest to grade and to garages used in connection with apartment houses may be by stairs only. 7 See Section 3302 for basement exit requirements. RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves Section 2 If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional ~ any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holdi~ shall not affect the validity of t~ remaining portions thereof. Section 3 That a public hearing be held on this ordinance on the~~ 19~, at 5:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
