ORDINANCE NO. ~

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REENACTING SECTION 7-22(b) OF THE
ASPEN MUNICIPAL CODE PROVIDING THAT PERSONS APPOINTED TO THE
BOARD OF APPEALS AND EXAMINERS SHALL HAVE BEEN QUALIFIED
ELECTORS AND RESIDENTS OF THE CITY FOR AT LEAST TWO (2) YEARS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen, Colorado,
desires to repeal and reenact Section 7-22(b) of the Aspen
Municipal Code for the benefit of the City of Aspen,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
That Section 7-22(b) of the Aspen Municipal Code is hereby
repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
(b) All of the members of the Board of Appeals and Examiners
shall have been qualified electors and residents of the
City of Aspen for at least two (2) years.
Section 2
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or por-
tion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconsti-
tutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and
such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining por-
tions thereof.
Section 3
A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held on the
day of ~~ , 19~, at 5:00 P.M. in
the City Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
