AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDI~ANCE NO. 3, SERIES OF
1980, PROVIDING FOR A TOWING FEE OF $40.00 FOR ANY VEHICLE
IMPOUNDED UNDER THE AUTIIORITY OF SECTION 22-20 OF THE MODEL
TRAFFIC CODE FOR COLORADO MUNICIPALITIES
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Section 1 of
Ordinance No. 3, Series of 1980, by increasing the towing fee from
$20.00 to $40.00 for impounded vehicles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3, Series of 1980, is hereby
repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
That the City of Aspen charge a vehicle storage fee of $4.00
per day and a towing fee of $40.00 for any vehicle impounded under
the authority of Section 22-20 of the Model Traffic Code for
Colorado Municipalities.
Section 2
If any section, subsection, sentence~ clause, phrase or
portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of cor~petent 3urisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions thereof.
