ORDINANCE NO. 64
(Series of 1980)
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF
A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ASPEN AND ASPEN
SKIING CORPORATION
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to ratify the long-
term agreement for purchase and sale of water between the
City of Aspen and Aspen Skiing Corporation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
That it does hereby ratify and approve the contract for
purchase and sale of water between the City of Aspen and Aspen
Skiing Corporation, providing for the purchase and sale of
water for the purpose of snowmaking, and such other common
contract provisions as are specified in the agreement itself
(on file in the office of the City Manager of the City of
Aspen).
Section 2
If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect ather provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end the provisions of
this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 3
A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held on
January 12, 1981, at 5:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers,
Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
