AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1973
EDITION OF THE "MODEL TRAFFIC CODE FOR COLORADO
MUNICIPALITIES" WHICH REPEALER WILL ELIMINATE THE
PROHIBITION AGAINST PARKING WITHIN TWO FEET OF A
WALKWAY LEADING TO A RESIDENCE WHERE NO SIDEWALK
EXISTS.
WHEREAS, the Aspen City Council wishes to repeal
an earlier enacted local amendment to the Model Traffic
Code which amendment is of limited usefulness and may
require extensive costs for adequate posting,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
FOR THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1.
That section 22-2(b) (2) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Aspen, Colorado, be and hereby is
repealed, which section presently reads as follows:
"Section 11-1. Model Traffic Code
Section 11-1 is hereby amended with the addition
of subsection (15) which subsection shall read:
'(15) Within two (2) feet of a walkway leading
to a residence where no sidewalk exists'"
Section 2.
If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance shall be found to
be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect any remain-
ing portion or application which can be given effect and
to this end this ordinance is declared to be severable.
Section 3.
A public hearing on this ordinance shall be held
on ~ ~ , 1974, at 5 P.M. in the City
1 Chambers, City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
