ORDINANCE NO. ~
(Series of 1974)
AN ORDINANCE MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION
IN THE AMOUNT OF TEN THOUSAND ($10,000.00) DOLLARS
TO THE ELECTRIC ENTERPRISE FUND FOR THE PURPOSE
OF INVESTIGATING THE ACQUISITION OF THE HOLY CROSS
ELECTRIC COMPANY.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has certified that
there are available for appropriation from the electric
utility revenues excess revenues in excess of Ten
Thousand ($10,000.00) Dollars and sufficient for the
City Council to make a supplemental appropriation for
the 1974 budget year, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has submitted for
consideration a supplement appropriation in the amount
of Ten Thousand ($10,000.00) Dollars to the Electric
Enterprise Fund, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to authorize this
supplemental appropriation pursuant to Section 9.12(a)
of the Aspen Charter so as to fund the initial costs
of invesitgating the feasibility of acquiring the Holy
Cross Electric Company,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1.
That a supplemental appropriation be made to the
Electric Enterprise Fund in the amount of Ten Thousand
($10,000.00) Dollars to be paid from electric utility
revenues as follows:
ELECTRIC ENTERPRISE FUND
Increase to Revenues
Increase in electric utility revenues

Section 2.
If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the
invalid provisions or applications and to this end the
provisions or applications of this ordinance are declared
to be severable.
Section 3.
A public hearing on this ordinance shall be held
on the day of , 1974, at 5 P.M.
in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ORDERED published as provided
by law by the City Council of the City of Aspen at its
regular meeting held , 1974.
