AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, AS AMENDED,
DESIGNATING LOTS K, L, M, N, 0 AND PART OF
LOT P, BLOCK 93, CITY OF ASPEN, THE LOCATION
OF ASPEN CITY HALL, AN HISTORIC OVERLAY DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Aspen is the owner of that
property constituting Aspen City Hall and surrounding
park and has submitted a written request for
designation of such area as an H, Historic Overlay
District in accordance with the provisions of Section
9.1 of Chapter 24 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Aspen, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing in
connection with the proposed designation, the Aspen
Planning and Zoning Commission and Aspen Historic
Preservation Committee have recommended that the
above described property be designated as an H,
Historic Overlay District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
That the Zoning District Map of the City of
Aspen, Colorado, dated April 3, 1967, as amended,
is hereby further amended by the designation of the
following described property as an H, Historic
Overlay District, pursuant to the provisions of
Section 9.1 of Chapter 24 of the Municipal Code of

the City of Aspen, Colorado, to wit:
Lots K, L, M, N, O and the West twenty-
two and one-half (22%) feet of Lot P,
Original Townsite, City of Aspen,
?itkin County, Colorado.
Section 2
If any provisions of this ordinance, or applications
thereof, shall be declared invalid, such invalidity
shall not affect any other provisions or applications,
and for this purpose the provisions and applications
of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 3
A public hearing on this ordinance shall be held
on~. ? , 1974, at 5 P.M. in the
City Council Chambers, City Hall, Aspen, colorado,
fifteen (15) days prior to which hearing there
shall have been published notice of the same in a
newspaper of general circulation in the City.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ORDERED published all
as provided by law by the City Council of the City
of Aspen, Colorado, at its regular meeting held
