HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.061-74RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves ORDINANCE NO. ~/ (Series of 1974) AND ORDINANCE MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION TO THE ELECTRIC ENTERPRISE FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $208,991.00 FOR THE CITY OF ASPEN BUDGET YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1974; AND DECLAR- ING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS REQUIRING IMMEDIATE ENACTMENT WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested supplemental appropriations for transmission and distribution and transfers to the General Fund within the Electric Enterprise Fund, and a corresponding decrease in an earlier appropriated transfer to the Transportation Fund, decreasing ~nappropriated revenues but leaving unappropriated revenues at year end, all as hereinafter described, and WHEREAS, the City of Aspen must complete its appropriation procedures before the close of the 1974 calendar year, and enactment by emergency ordinance is required, and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to approve such trans- fers and appropriations pursuant to Section 9.12 of the Charter and do so by emergency ordinance as authorized by Section 4.11 of said Charter, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1. '~hat Two Hundred and Eight Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety-One ($208,991.00) Dollars be appropriated to the Electric Enterprise Fund as follows: RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves Electric Fund Transmission and Distribution Transfer to General Fund Expenditures Appropriations Revenues $ 28,698.00 180,293.00 Decrease transfer to Transportation Fund Decrease to Unappropriated Revenues $ 53,387.00 155,604.00 Leaving estimated unappropriated revenues at year's end of Forty Three Thousand One Hundred Ninety-~ix ($43,196.00) Dollars. Section 2. By reason of the fact that the City must complete appropriation procedures before the close of the 1974 calendar year, it is hereby declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance is neces- sary to the immediate preservation of the public property, health, peace and safety, and that it shall be in full force and effect upon final passage and be published within ten (10) days after final passage, or as soon thereafter as possible. Section 3. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid pro- visions or applications, and to this end the provisions or applications of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
