HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.063-74RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves ORDINANCE NO. ~3 (Series of 1974) AN ORDINANCE MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION TO THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE BUILDING OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE, PARKS STREETS AND OTHER DEPARTMENTS; .AUTHORIZING TRANSFERS FROM THE ELECTRIC, ~-TATER, REVENUE SHARING AND SIXTH PENNY SALES TAX FUNDS ALL FOR THE CITY OF ASPEN BUDGET YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1974; AND DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS REQUIRING IMMEDIATE ENACTMENT WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested supplemental appropriations for the Building Operation and Maintenance, Parks, Gtreets and other departments, within the General Fund, recognition of a decrease in anticipated revenues in the General Fund, but also authorization for transfers from the Electric, Water, Revenue Sharing and Sixth Penny Sales Tax Fund, and WHEREAS, the City of Aspen must complete its appropriation procedure before the close of the 1974 calendar year, and en- actment by emergency ordinance procedures is required, and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to approve such trans- fers and appropriations pursuant to Section 9.12 of the Charter and do so by emergency ordinance as authorized by Section 4.11 of said Charter, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1. That Three Hundred and Two Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty-Two ($302,352.00) Dollars be appropriated to the General Fund as follows: RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves General Fund Expenditures Building Operations and Maintenance $ 8,000.00 Parks 11,445.00 Streets 14,204.00 Other - as itemized in Col. 2 of Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated hereby by this reference 190,561.00 Decrease in Anticipated Revenues 78,642.00 Autorized transfer from Electric Department Authorized transfer from Water Department Authorized transfer from Revenue Sharing Fund Authorized transfer from Sixth Penny Sales Tax Fund Appropriations Revenues $180.293.00 88,910.09 14,204.00 19,445.00 Section 2. Jy reason of the fact that the City must complete appropriation procedures before the close of the 1974 calendar year, it is hereby declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance is necessary to the immediate preservation of the public property, health, peace an~ safety, and that it shall be in full force and effect upon final passage and be publish- ed within ten (10) days after final passage, or as soon thereafter as possible. Section 3.
