Series of 1972 AN ORDINANCE MAKING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF ASPEN BUDGET YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1972. WHEREAS, the City Manager for the City of Aspen has come by written request, and submitted for consideration the Supplemental Appropriations for the City of Aspen Budget Year, ending December 31, 1972; and WHEREAS, General Fund Revenue projections at December 31, 1972 are expected to be in excess of Two Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($210,000); and WHEREAS, Supplemental Appropriations are required for the General Fund in the Amount of One Hundred Sixty-four Thousand Dollars ($164,000); and WHEREAS, Seventy-three Thousand Six Hundred ($73,600) represent transfers to other funds as required by establishing enterprise funds for the James Moore Pool and the Concession Stand, as well as requirements for meeting fifty percent (50%) of the Special Improvement Districts reserve requirement, as noted in the 1971 Annual Audit; and ($90,400) above that appropriated for 1972 General Fund Budget; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of the City of Aspen, Colorado: Section 1. That One Hundred Sixty-four Thousand Dollars be appropriated to the 1972 General Fund Budget as WHEREAS, Ninety Thousand Four Hundred Dollars are required for operating expenditures over and Council ($164,000) follows: RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves Department or Fund General Administration Transfer to James Moore Pool Fund Transfer to Concession Stand Fund Transfer to Special Assessment Fund Street Department Streets, Sidewalks Bridges Fences, and Outdoor Equipment Storm Sewers Parks and Recreation Regular Salaries Temporary Help Fences and Outdoor Equipment Ground Maintenance Expense Supplemental Appropriation $73,600 $3,500 7,600 62,500 45,000 8,500 1,000 6,500 5,000 12,000 3,400 $61,000 $29,400 9,000 TOTAL $164,000 Section 2. BE of Aspen, earnings, IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the City Council of the City Colorado appropriate from the Electric Fund retained Sixty-two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($62,500) which shall be appropriated as a transfer from the Electric Fund to the Special Improvement District as fifty percent (50%) of the Special Improvement Districts reserve requirements as noted in the 1971 Annual Audit; and RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves Section 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED~ that the City Council of the City of Aspen appropriate Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) from the Land Acquisition Including Open Space and Capital Improvements Fund for the purchase of Real Property known as "Shaw Property". Section 4. Emergency Provision. By reason of the fact that the City must complete Supple- mental Appropriation procedures before the close of the 1972 calendar year, it is hereby declared that an emergency exists and that this Ordinance is necessary to the immediate preservation of the public property, health, peace and safety, and that it shall be in full force and effect upon final passage, and be published within ten (10) days after final passage, or as soon thereafter as possible. Section 5. Recording and Authentication. This Ordinance, as adopted by the City Council, shall be numbered and recorded in the official records of the City. Its adoption and publication shall be authenticated by the signature of the Mayor, or Mayor Pro-Tem, and the City Clerk, and by the certificate of publication.
