AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 18 OF THE ASPEN
MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED "COMPULSORY REGISTRATION
OF EMPLOYEES IN OCCUPATIONS AND INDUSTRIES CRITICAL
TO THE ECONOMY OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO
WI~REAS, it has been determined that the Private Employee
Registration Code (Chapter 18) of the Aspen Municipal Code may,
as presently drawn, be in violation of the federal and state
cons~tutions; and
WHEREAS, the Aspen Police Department has reported to~e
City Council that the Private Employee Registration Code does
not at the present time serve any substantial public purpose,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1.
That Chapter 18 of the Aspen Municipal Code entitled
"Compulsory Registration of Employees in Occupations and
Industries Critical to the Economy of the City of Aspen,
Colorado', be and the same hereby is repealed in its entirety.
Section 2.
