AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 22-26 OF CHAPTER 22
OF THE ASPEN MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SUBSECTION
(15) THERETO AUTHORIZING IMPOUNDMENT OF MOTOR
VEHICLES FOR WHICH A PARKING, STOPPING OR STANDING
VIOLATION CITATION HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING FOR OVER
SIXTY (60) DAYS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN,
COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1.
Section 22-26 of the Municipal Code of the City of Aspen,
Colorado, is hereby amended by the addition of subsection (15)
thereto, which new subsection (15) shall read as follows:
"(15) WHEN THE RECORDS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT INDICATE
THAT A PARKING~ STANDING OR STOPPING VIOLATION CITATION
HAS BEEN ISSUED ON A VEHICLE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND
HAS NOT BEEN PAID OR OTHERWISE LEGALLY DISPOSED (F FOR MORE
THAN SIXTY (60) DAYS FROM THE DATE OF ISSUANCE OF SUCH
CITATION."
Section 2.
If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance is held invlaid, such invalidity
shal 1 not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance
which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or
applications, and to this end the provisions Or applications of
this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 3.
A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held on

Chambers, City Hall Building, Aspen, Colorado.
