ORDINANCE NO. 38
(Series of 1973)
AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF ASPEN
BUDGET YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1973; ESTABLISHING AND FUNDING
THE TRANSPORTATION AND WATER CONSTRUCTION FUNDS; AND DECLARING
THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS.
WHEREAS, the Acting City Manager for the City of Aspen
has come by request and submitted for consideration these
appropriations for the City of Aspen Budget Year ending
December 31, 1973, and
WHEREAS, the Transportation Fund Revenue projections at
December 31, 1973, are expected to be in excess of One
Hundred Fifty Thousand ($150,000.00) Dollars, and
WHEREAS, Appropriations are required for the Transportation
Fund in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand ($150,000.00)
Dollars, and
WHEREAS, the Water Construction Fund Revenue projections
at December 31, 1973, are expected to be in excess of Six
Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand ($625,000.00) Dollars; and
WHEREAS, Appropriations are required for the Water
Construction Fund in the amount of Six Hundred Twenty-Five
Thousand ($625,000.00) Dollars, and
WHEREAS, the Council is desirous of establishing the
Transportation and Water Construction Funds and funding them
with their corresponding revenues,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1.
That One Hundred Fifty Thousand ($150,000.00) Dollars
be appropriated to the 1973 Transportation Fund Budget as
follows:

Section 3:
By reason of the fact that the City must complete appro-
priation procedures before the close of the 1973 calendar year,
it is hereby declared that an emergency exists and that this
ordinance is necessary to the immediate preservation of the
public property, health, peace and safety, and that it shall be
in full force and effect upon final passage and be published within
ten (10) days after final passage, or as soon thereafter as possible
