HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.039-73RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves ORDINANCE NO. ~ (Series of 1973) AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF ASPEN BUDGET YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1973; ESTABLISHING AND FUNDING THE LAND ACQUISITION INCLUDING OPEN SPACE AND CAPITAL IMPROVE- MENTS FUND; AND DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS. WHEREAS, the Acting City Manager and Director of Finance for the City of Aspen have come by request and submitted for consideration these appropriations for the City of Aspen Budget Year ending December 31, 1973, and WHEREAS, the Land Acquisition Including Open Space and Capital Improvements Fund Revenue projections at December 31, 1973, are expected to be in excess of Two Million One' Hundred and Sixty Thousand and One Hundred and Sixty-Seven ($2,160,167.00) Dollars, and WHEREAS, Appropriations are required for the Land Acquisition Including Open Space and Capital Improvements Fund in the amount of Two Million One Hundred and Sixty Thousand and One Hundred and Sixty Seven 02,160,167.00) Dollars, and WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of establishing the Land Acquisition Including Open Space and Capital Improvements Fund and funding it with its corresponding revenues, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1. That Two Million One Hundred and Sixty Thousand and One Hundred and Sixty Seven ($2,160,167.00) Dollars be appropriated to the Land Acquisition Including Open Space and Capital Improvements Fund Budget as follows: RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves Land Acquisition, etc., Fund Sales Tax (sixth penny) Bond Proceeds Food Tax Refund Transfer to 1972 Sales Tax Bond Interest Expense Land & Land Rights Urban Runoff Mg. Plan Other Services Lighting System Land Development Lease Option Appropriations Expenditures Revenues $401,007.00 $1,759,160.00 $10,395.00 290,030.00 10,530.00 1,791,129.00 9,083.00 5,983.00 5,698.00 35,819.00 1,500.00 Section 2. By reason of the fact that the City must complete appropriation procedures before the close of the 1973 calendar year, it is hereby declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance is necessary to the immediate preservation of the public property, health, peace and safety and that it shall be in full force and effect upon final passage and be published within ten (10) days after final passage, or as soon thereafter as possible. Section 3. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invlaid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or applications and to this end the provisions or applications of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
