ORDINANCE NO. 1
(Series of 1971)
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 40, HALLAM'S
ADDITION TO THE CITY AND TOWNSITE OF ASPEN, AND RESERVING EASEMENTS
FOR UTILITIES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN:
Section 1: That portion of the alley in Block 40, Hallam's
Addition to the City and Townsite of Aspen, being described as one point
two (1.2) feet along the northerly boundary of the alley contiguous
and adjacent to the southerly lot line of Lot 2, Block 40, Hallam's
Addition to the City and Townsite of Aspen, more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
Commencing at the Southwesterly corner of Lot 1,
Block 40 of the unrecorded Hallam's Addition to
the City of Aspen; thence S.75°09'11"E. 18.14
feet to the true point of beginning being the
common Southerly corner of Lots 1 and 2 of said
Block 40; thence S.75°09'11"E. 30.00 feet along
the Southerly line of said Lot 2 (said line being
the Northerly line of the alleg in rear of Lot 2
of said Block 40); thence S.14 50'49"W. 1.2 feet;
thence N.75°09'll"W. 30.00 feet; thence N.14°50'
49"E. 1.2 feet to the true point of beginning.
shall be and the same hereby is, vacated as a public alley subject to
the conditions set forth herein.
Section 2: That there is hereby reserved by the City of
Aspen, easements for utility lines including but not limited to
sewer mains, gas mains, water lines, electric power and telephone
and the maintenance thereof.

Section 3: A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held
on February 87 1971 at 5:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers
Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
