HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.007A-71RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 LEAVES AMENDMENT ORDINANCE NO. 7 (Series of 1971) AN AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 7 ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS, 1970 EDITION, VOLUME 1, TOGETHER WITH THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE STANDARDS, 1970 EDITION, AND TOGETHER WITH THE APPENDIX; PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDING OF SECTION 301, SUBSECTION B, BY ADDING NUMBER EIGHT, REQUIR- ING A CERTIFIED SURVEY, PLAT AND LEGAL DESCRIPTION TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE APPLICATION FOR A BUILDING PERMIT. WHEREAS, the City of Aspen, Colorado, has on first reading adopted Ordinance No. 7, Series of 1971, AND WHEREAS, the City is desirous of amending Ordinance No. 7 prior to its final reading. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, THAT: Section 1: Ordinance No. 7, Series of 1971, is hereby amended by adding number eight to Section 301, Sub- section B of the Uniform Building Code, 1970 Edition, Volume 1. "Section 301(b) Application. 8. Be accompanied by a certified survey, plat and legal description of the proposed building site or property. Said plat shall indicated the following: a.) Type of monuments set on property corners. b.) The location and dimensions of any easements or rights of way of record or in evidence on said property. c.) The location of any existing improvement on said property. d.) The location of the nearest improvements on lands adjacent to said property. Lorraine Graves, City Clerk of Aspen, Colorado, above and foregoing ordinance was and passed on first meeting of the City Council of , ].971, and published general circulation Colorado, in its issue _, 1971_ ..., and was finally adopted and regular __meeting of the City Council , 197--1, and ordered published as 7 _, Series of 197__~_1, of said City, as IN WITR~SS W}~REOF, seal of said City of Aspen, day of __April I have hereunto set my hand and the Colorado, this 13th __, 197 1 SEAL ~x~raine Graves, City Clerk RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Aspen, Colorado, on Monday, the 12th day of April, 1971, at 5:00 p.m., at the Council Chambers, City Hall, 130 South Galena Street, Aspen, Colorado on a proposed, "Ordinance relating to the regulation of erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, location and maintenance of all buildings or structures within the City of Aspen, Colorado; adopting by reference thereto the Uniform Building Code of the International Conference of Building Officials, 1970 Edition, Volume I, together with the Uniform Building Code standards, 1970 Edition, and together with the Appendix; providing for amendments thereto; repealing all prior provisions of the Munici- pal Code of the City of Aspen, 1962, as amended, concerning the Building Code heretofore in effect, and repealing Chapter 4 of Title IV concerning chimneys, vents, fireplaces and incinerators, and Chapter 5 of Title IV concerning the adoption of the Gas Fitting Code, and Chapter 6 of Title IV concerning the adoption of Warm Air Heating and Air Conditioning Code, and Chapter 7 of Title IV concerning the adoption of Boilers and Pressure Vessels Code, and Chapter 10 of Title IV concerning the adoption of Building Exits Code; except Chapter 3 of Title II of the Municipal Code of the City of Aspen pertaining to Board of Appeals and Examiners; repealing all ordinances, parts and sections of ordinances of the City of Aspen, Colorado in conflict or inconsistent herewith; providing a penalty for the violation of provisions of said Building Code; and providing for a public hearing in relation thereto." The purpose of the Ordinance and Uniform Building Code proposed to be adopted by reference therein is to provide comprehensive provisions and standards regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, location and maintenance of all buildings or structures within the City of Aspen. Copies of the Uniform Building Code, 1970 Edition, Volume I, proposed to be adopted together with the proposed ordinance are on file and are available for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk, at 130 South Galena Street, Aspen, Colorado.
