AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION (f), SECTION 9, CHAPTER 1
of TITLE 11 ENTITLED CHARACTERISTICS OF OFF-STREET PARKING
BY DELETING AUTHORIZATION FOR ATTENDANT OFF-STREET PARKING.
WHEREAS, it has been determined that provisions
for attendant parking is unworkable and inappropriate to
comply with the requirements of the City Off-Street Parking
Regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1: Subsection
of Title 11 entitled Characteristics
hereby amended as follows:
(f), Section 9, Chapter 1
of Off-Street Parking is
"ll-l-9(f):
Characteristics of Off-Street Parking -
Each off-street parking space shall have
an unobstructed area measuring nine (9)
feet wide by eighteen (18) feet long and
seven (7) feet high and have legal, un-
obstructed area for access to a street
or alley. Off-street parking spaces must
be paved with an all-weather surfacing
and be maintained in a usable and un-
obstructed condition at the responsibil-
ity of the owner at all times. Vehicles,
equipment or merchandise for rent or sale
shall not obstruct the use of required
off-street parking spaces.
Section 2: If any provision of this Ordinance or
the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect without
the invalid provisions or application and to this end the pro-
visions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 3: A public hearing on the Ordinance shall
