ORDINANCE NO.
(Series of 1971)
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF THE MUNICIPAL WATER
UTILITY TRANSMISSION LINE.
WHEREAS, the City desires to extend the municipal
water utility transmission line beyond its present boundar-
ies in accordance with Section 11.3 of the Charter for the
City of Aspen, Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO.
Section 1: An eighteen (18") inch municipal water
utility transmission line is hereby authorized to be extend-
ed from the Aspen Business Center to the Aspen Airport, Sardy
Field, in accordance with the plan for said municipal water
utility transmission line extension attached hereto and in-
corporated herein.
.~.ection 2: That the sum of TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND TWO
HUNDRED ELEVEN and 39/100 ($22,211.39) DOLLARS is hereby
authorized and appropriated to be expended from the City's
share in the construction of said extension.
Section 3: If any provision of this Ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstances is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect with-
out the invalid provisions or application and to this end the
provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: A public hearing on the Ordinance shall be
held at ~_~~/?/M?/ at uS-.'o~ P.M. in the City Council
Chambers, Cit~Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
