AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTIONS (b) (3), (b) (4), and
(b) (6) OF SECTION (% CHAPTER 3 OF TITLE III OF THE MUN-
ICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF ASPEN ENTITLED "RATES AND
CHARGES", CHANGING THE WATER RATES WITHIN AND WITHOUT
THE CITY FOR RESIDENTIAL PURPOSES AND COMMERCIAL METERED
RATE AND ELIMINATING CHARGES FOR FIRE HYDRANTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1: Subsections (b)(3) and (b)(4) of
Section 6, Chapter 3 of Title III are hereby amended to
read as follows:
"3-3-6: RATES AND CHARGES:
(b)(3) For Residential purpose~ where
the consumer has installed a meter~ the rate or charge
for such calendar month, or any fraction thereof, shall
be as follows:

(b)(4) Commercial Metered Rate: Ail
commercial water users shall be required to have a
water meter. The rate of charge for each calendar
month shall be as follows:

For each 1,000 gallons for the
next 46,000 gallons:

next 50,000 gallons:
For each 1,000 gallons for all
over 100,000 gallons:

Section 2: Subsection (b)(6) entitled "Public Fire
Protection" of Section 6, Chapter 3 of Title III'is hereby
repealed.
Section 3: A public hearing on the Ordinance shall
be held at_ ~~/~/~?J at ~-~ P.M. in the City
Council Chambers, City Hall Building, Aspen, Colorado.
Section 4: If any provision of this Ordinance or
the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect without
the invalid provisions or application, and to this end the pro-
visions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable.

law by the City Council of the City of Aspen, Colorado, on
