ORDINANCE NO. ~
(Series of 1971)
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 20 (SERIES OF 1971), RE-
QUIRING DOGS TO BE ON LEASHES WITHIN THE CITY OF ASPEN.
WHEREAS, a Referendum Petition has been filed through
a Petitioners' Committee with the required number of registered
petitioners thereon.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Aspen
recognizes the citizens' objections to Ordinance No. 20
(Series of 1971), which was enacted on August 23, 1971.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1.
Ordinance No. 20 (Series of 1971) be
and hereby is repealed.
Section 2.
with all amendments
Ordinance No. 1 (Series of 1962) together
thereto is hereby reinstated.
Section 3.
If any provision of this Ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provisions or application, and to this end the provisions of
this Ordinance are declared to be severable.

Section 4.
A public hearing on the Ordinance shall be
