HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.030-71RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves ORDINANCE NO. 30 (Series of 1971) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8, CHAPTER 1 OF TITLE XI OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF ASPEN ENTITLED "PARK" TO INCLUDE PROVISION FOR AF-AGRICULTURAL/FORESTRY ZONED DISTRICTS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, THAT: Section 1: Section 8, Chapter 1 of Title XI of the Municipal Code of the City of Aspen is hereby amended by adding a new zoning district entitled "AF-Agricultural/Forestry,, to read as fo l lows: "11-1-8: PARK AND AF-AGRICULTURAL/FORESTRY (a) P-PARK: Intention - to insure that land intended for recreation use is developed in such a manner to serve its intended use while not exerting a disruptive influence on adjacent uses of land. Open-use recreation facilities are permitted and recreation club buildings are included - Subject to the approval of Board of Adjustment. (b) AF-AGRICULTURAL/FORESTRY: Intention - to allow utilization of land for agricultural/forestry and low density residential purposes with customary accessory uses. Recreational, institutional, public and other com- patible uses customarily found in proximity with those uses permitted by right are included, subject to approval of the Board of Adjustment. ~ses-Permitted 1. Sewage disposal areas, water treatment plantp, water storage and reservoir areas; 4. Electric substations, gas regulator stations (not including buildings for business offices, repair or storage). Minimum Lot Area 1. Unsubdivided land ................ 5 acres 2. Subdivided land .................. 2 acres Minimum Lot Width 1. Unsubdivided land ................ 300 feet 2. Subdivided land .................. 200 feet Minimum Front Yard 1. Ail buildings except dwellings and accessory buildings ............... 200 feet from the right-of-way lines of State Highways 100 feet from the right-of-way lines of designated arterials. 30 feet in all other locations. 2. Dwellings ..................... 30 feet 3. Buildings accessory to dwellings ......................... 50 feet Minimum Side Yard ................. 20 feet Minimum Rear Yard ................. 20 feet Maximum Height of Buildings ....... 28 feet Minimum Off-Street Parking ........ as required under Supplementary Reg- ulations Section 11-1-9" Section 2: A public hearing on the Ordinance shall be held on ~"~'-- g~ ~, /fT/ at .s- ~ P.M., in the City Council Chambers City Hall Building, Aspen, Colorado.
