AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 37, EAST
ASPEN ADDITION TO THE CITY AND TOWNSITE OF ASPEN, RESERVING
EASEMENTS THEREIN, AND RESTRICTING CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS
THEREON.
WHEREAS, it is to the best interests of the City of
Aspen that the portion of the alley in Block 37, East Aspen
Addition to the City and Townsite of Aspen hereinafter describ-
ed be vacated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
.Section 1:
That portion of the alley in Block 37,
East Aspen Addition to the City and Townsite of Aspen, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of
Lot I, Block 37, East Aspen Addition; thence S14°50'
49"W, 18.74 feet; thence N75°09'll,,W, 107.00 feet;
thence N19°54'08,,W, 22.81 feet; thence S75°09'11,,E,
120.00 feet,
shall be, and the same hereby is vacated as a public alley sub-
ject to the conditions set forth herein.
Section 2:
That there is hereby reserved by the City
of Aspen, easements and rights-of-ways for emergency vehicles,
easements and rights-of-ways for utility lines, including but not
limited to sewer mains, gas mains, water lines, electric power
and telephone lines and the maintenance thereof; and further, no
buildings shall be constructed on or across the aforementioned
described alley.
Section 3:
A public hearing relating to the above
described Ordinance shall be held on ~/~,~/~ .~2. if?f at
..~/~z~ P.M. in the City Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen,
