ORDINANCE NO. 11
Series of 1970
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY
OF ASPEN, COLORADO OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY OR REAL ESTATE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, LYING OUTSIDE OF,
BUT ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
WHEREAS, a petition for the annexation was filed with
the City Clerk of the City of Aspen on March 2?, 1970 requesting
the annexation of the territory hereinafter described, which
Petition meets all of the requirements of the applicable
section of the "Colorado Municipal Annexation Act of 196S"; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen passed
and adopted a Resolution on ~a~2~, 1970 accepting said
Peition for annexation, and resolving that said property be
annexed by ordinance; and,
or real
the owners of 100% of the property proposed to be annexed

with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the Petition for annexation of this territory
estate, described in this ordinance, has been signed by

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN:
Section 1: That the following described tract of
land, to wit:
That part of West ASpen Subdivision Filing No. 2,
Pitkin County, Colbrado, described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 33 of said
West Aspen Subdivision Filing No. 2 said point
lying on the present city limit line of the City
of Aspen, Colorado; thence along said existing
city limit line by the following courses and distances;
South 23°08,00,, West, 190.00 feet; North 66°52,00,,
West, 5.00 feet; South 23°08'00,, West, 110.00 feet;

said curve, having a radius of 295.00 feet, a distance
of 243.88 feet; thence North 23008'00'' East, a distance
of 188.00 feet; thence South 66052'00'' East, a distance
of 60.00 feet; thence North 14013'00'' East, a distance
of 110.00 feet; thence North 63°20'00'' East, a distance
of 145.00 feet; thence South 40o37'32'' East, a
distance of 114.97 feet; thence South 59o10'00'' East,
a distance of 288.00 feet; thence South 66052'00'' East,
a distance of 120.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Contains 9.25 acres more or less,
which land is situated in the County of Pitkin, State of Colo-
rado, and adjoining and touching the boundary line of the
City of Aspen and situated that not less than 1/6th of the
aggregate external boundaries of said tract of land coincide
with the existing boundaries of the City of Aspen, Colorado,
be hereby added to, annexed, taken into and made a part of
the City of Aspen, Colorado.
Section 2: That the annexation map and certified
copies of the original annexing ordinance be filed with the
Office of the Clerk of the City of Aspen, and with the Office
of the Secretary of State and with the Clerk and Recorder of
Pitkin County, pursuant to the requirements set forth under
Section 12 of said Act.
