ORDINANCE NO. 26
(Series of 1970)
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING LOT 2 3, FIRST FILING, WEST ASPEN
SUBDIVISION, PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the Petition for Annexation of Lot 23,
First Filing, West Aspen Subdivision, Pitkin County, Colorado,
has been signed by the owner of 100% of the property proposed
to be annexed, exclusive of streets and alleys and said
Petition has been filed with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen
finds that the area seeking annexation is eligible to be
annexed because there is at least 1/6th contiguity between the
municipality and the area seeking annexation, and that the
conditions set forth in Sections 3 and 4 of the Colorado
Municipal Annexation Act of 1965 have been met; and that there
are no additional terms and conditions to be imposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1: Lot 23, First Filing, West Aspen
Subdivision, Pitkin County, Colorado is hereby
annexed to the City of Aspen.
Section 2: A public hearing on the Ordinance shall
be held on January 11, 1971 at 5:00 p.m. in the City
Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ORDERED published as provided
by law by the City Council of Aspen, Colorado at its regular
meeting held at the City of Aspen, Colorado, on the 28th
