AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1 (SERIES OF 1954) AND
PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FR0~ THE "SEWER FUND" OF
THE CIT~ OF ASPEN TO THE GENERAL FUND:
Whereas the operation, maintenance and repair of the
sewer distribution system heretofore owned and operated by the
City of Aspen has been transferred and turned over to the Aspen
Sanitation District,
Whereas the City of Aspen has no further obligation for
the maintenance and repair of said sewer,
Whereas the City Council of the City of Aspen deem it
advisable to transfer such funds as now are on deposit in the
Sewer Fund as provided in Ordinance No. 1 (Series of 1954) be
transferred to the General Fund of the City of Aspen in order to
promote the public health, safety and welfare,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CIT~ COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ASPEN:
SECTION ONE: That Ordinance No. i (Series of 1954)
shall be and is hereby repealed.
SECTION TWO: That the Treasurer and the City Clerk for
the City of Aspen shall be and they are hereby authoriled and '
directe~ to transfer from the Sewer Fund to the General Fund of
the City of Aspen such moneys~as~%hown by the books of the City of
Aspen to be in the Sewer Fund.
