AN ORDINANCE MAKING ANNUAL APPROPRIATION OF MONEYS AND FUNDS TO
COVER EXPENDITURES TO BE MADE BY THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, AS
PROVIDED BY ITS BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JANUARY l,
1953, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1. That this Ordinance shall be known and termed as
the Annual appropriation Bill of the City of Aspen, Colorado, for
the fiscal year beginning on the 1st day of January, 1953, and
ending on the 31st day of December, 1953.
Section 2. That the sums or amounts of money hereinafter
set out are termed to be necessary to defray the expenses and
liabilities of said City during said fiscal year. That the revenu
to be collected by said City during said fiscal year is hereby
appropriated to defray all necessary expenses and liabilities of
said City and that said appropriation purposes and the respective
amounts are as follows:
General Fund-Mayor's and Aldermen's salaries - ~ 780.00
Clerk's salary and expense - - 800.00
Treasurer's fees and expense - - - 1,000.00
Marshall,' salaries ...... 6,000.00
Streets and Alleys ...... 29,000.00
City Park Fund ....... 1,000.00
City Building Fund ..... 5,000.00
Fire Department .... 3,000.00
85~ Beer and Liquor Licenses - Not set up as expense
15~ net to be set up in income estimate.
Contingent _ - - 2,500.00
Attorney fees and expense - - 500.00
Advertising .... 1,000.00
Bond and Interest ...... 3,000~00
TOTAL $53,580.00
Section 3. That the Budget for the City of Aspen, Colorado
is set at $53,580.00.
Section 4. That all unexpended balances remaining to the
credit of any appropriation herein made after all bills and ac-
counts have been paid shall revert to and be transferred to the
respective fund from which such appropriation was originally drawn
Introduced, read and ordered published as provided by law by
the City Council of Aspen, Colorado, at its regular meeting held
at said City of Aspen, on this
