AN ORDINANCE MAKING ANNUAL APPROPRIATION OF MONEYS AND
FUNDS TO COVER EXPENDITURES TO BE MADE BY THE CITY OF ASPEN,
COLORADO, AS PROVIDED BY ITS BUDGET FOR TIlE FISCAL YEAR COM-
MENCING JANUARY 1, 1954, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1954.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN,
COLORADO
Section 1. That this Ordinance shall be known and termed as the
Annual Appropriation Bill of the City of Aspen, Colorado, for the fiscal year
beginning on the 1st day of January, 1954, and ending on the 31st day of
December, 1954.
Section 2. That the sums or amounts of money hereinafter set out
are termed to be necessary to defray the expense~ and liabilities of said
City during said fiscal year. That the revenue tq be collected by said City
during said fiscal year is hereby appropriated to defray all necessary
expenses and liabilities of said City and that said appropriation purposes and
the respective amounts are as follows:
General Fund -- Mayor's and
Aldermen's salaries
Clerk's salary and expense
Treasurer's fees and expense
Marshalls ' salaries
Streets and Alleys
City Park Fund
City Fire Department
City Building Fund
85% Beer and Liquor Licenses - Not set '
up as expense - 15% net to be set up
in income estimate.
Contingent
Attorney fees and expense
Advertising
Bond and Interest

Section 3.
That the Budget for the City of Aspen, Colorado is set
at $68, 340.00.
Section'4. That all unexpended balances remaining to the credit of
any appropriation herein made after all bills and accounts h,ave been paid
shall revert to and be transferred to the respective fund from which such
appropriation was origim~ally drawn.
Introduced, read and ordered published as provided by law by the
City Council of Aspen, Colorado, at its regular meeting held at said City of
Aspen, on this 5th day of October, A.D. 1953. ~
