AN ORDINANCE MAKING AN ANNUAL LEVY ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR COMMINCING JANUARY 1, 1954 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31,
1954.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF' TIlE CITY OF ASPEN,
COLORADO:
That there is hereby levied on each dollar of assessed valuation of
all taxable property within the City of Aspen, Colorado, assessed in the
following taxes:
Section 1. For the purpose of defraying the general expense of the
City, the sum of 15 Mills.
Section 2. For the redemption and interest on bonds, the sum of
2 Mills.
Total levy, 17 Mills.
Introduced, read and ordered published as provided by law by the
City Council of Aspen, Colorado, at its regular me'ting held at said City of
Aspen, on this 5th day of October, A.D. 1953.

I, Ethel M. Frost, as City Clerk of the City of Aspen, Colorado,
do hereby certify that the above and foregoing Ordinance was introduced,
read in full and passed first reading at the regular meeting of the City
Council held October 5th, 1953, and published in The Aspen Times, a
weekly newspaper of general circulation published at the City of Aspen,
Colorado, in its issue of October 22, 1953, and was finally adopted and
approved on December 7th, A.D. 1953, and was ordered published as
Ordinance No. 4, (Series of 1953) of said City, as provided by law.
