P. 02 A TTACHMRNT 1 CITY OF ASPEN DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION FEE POLICY TIre City of Aspen, pursuant to Ordinance 57 (Series of 2000), has establishctl a fee struelme 1'01' the processing of land lIse applications. A nat fee or deposit is colleded for land use applications based on the lype of application submitted. Referral fees for otIrer City departnK'nts reviewing the ,lpplic,ltion will also be collected when nccessary. One check inclUding the deposit for Planning and referral agency fees must be submitted with each land use application, madc payable to the Aspen/Pitkin Community Developmcnt Department. Applications will not bc accepted for proccssing without thc rcquired application fec. A nat fee is collected by Com'l1unity Development lilr Administrative Approval>; which nOlll1aHy 1,1kc a minimal and predktabk amount of starr timc to proccss. The fce is not refundable. A dcposit is collectcd by Community Development whcn more extcnsive staff review is required, as hours arc likely to vary Substantially from one application to another. Acltml sta11 time spent will he charged 'Igainst the deposit. Several dilTerent staff members may charge their lime spent on the case in addition to the case planner. Staff time is Jogged to the case and starr can provide a SUl11nlary report orhours spent al the applicant's request. After the deposit has been expended, the applicant will be bill cd monthly based on actual staff hour>;. Applicants Illay accrue and be billed additional cxpenses 1<.11' a planner's time spent on the case Collowing any hearing or approvals, up until the applicant applies for a building permit. emmnt billings must be paid within 30 days or processing of the application will be suspended. If an applicant has prcviously {'liled to pay application fees as lequired, no new or additional applications will be accepted for processing lIntil the outstanding fces are paid. In no case will Building I'ennits he issued until ull costs associated with Cllse processillg have beell paid. When the case planner determines that the ease is completed (whether approved or not approved). the c.lse is considered c10scd and any remaining balance from the deposit will be refunded to the applicant. Label the type of easement shown on the northern portion of thV property. On page 2, l~el the parking space that is designated for use of the ADD unit. V Obtain all signatures with the exception of the City Community Development Director, Community Development Engineer, and Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder prior to submitting two (2) mylar copies to the Community Development Department.
