AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ASPEN,
COLORADO OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY OR REAL ESTATE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, LYING OUTSIDE OF, BUT ADJACENT TO
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
WHEREAS, a Petition for the annexation was filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Aspen on October 6, 1971
requesting the annexation of the territory hereinafter de-
scribed, which Petition meets all of the requirements of the
applicable section of the "Colorado Municipal Annexation Act
of 1965" and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen
passed and adopted a Resolution on
accepting said Petition for annexation, and resolving that
said property be annexed by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Petition for annexation of this terri-
tory or real estate, described in this ordinance, has been
signed by the owners of 100% of the property proposed to be
annexed, exclusive of streets and alleys, and said Petition
has been filed with the City Clerk; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1: That the
land, to wit:

A tract of land situated in a portion of the East
Aspen Townsite, the E~ SW~ and the W~ SEk of Sect-
ion 7, Township 10 South, Range 84 West of the 6th
Principal Meridian, Pitkin County, Colorado, being
more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at a point said point being concurrent
with and the same as Corner 10 of the East Aspen
Townsite Addition; thence N54°52'17'~ 58.10 feet
to Corner 11 of said Addition; thence N38°19'46'~
220.42 feet to Corner 16 of said Addition; thence
S62°41'W 40.27 feet; thence S22°07'W 88.19 feet
more or less to Corner 98 of the North Annexation
to the City of Aspen, Colorado; thence along said
North Annexation line N22°O0'w 54.7 feet to corner

N42°59'W 186.9 feet to Corner 95; thence N34°34'W

length concurrent with the northwesterly line of
the Berumen Annexation to the City of Aspen,
Colorado; thence N66°09'W 401.90 feet along a line
that is partly in length concurrent with the
northerly line of Brownell Annexation to the City
of Aspen, Colorado; thence N34°47'43"E 131.0 feet
more or less to the point of beginning.
Containing 50.87 acres, more or less.
which land is situated in the County of Pitkin, State of
Colorado, and adjoining and touching the boundary line of
the City of Aspen and situated that not less than 1/6th of
the aggregrate external boundaries of said tract of land
coincide with the existing boundaries of the City of Aspen,
Colorado be hereby added to, annexed, taken into and made a
part of the City of Aspen, Colorado.
Section 2: That the annexation map and certified
copies of the original annexing ordinance be filed with the
Office of the Clerk of the City of Aspen, and with the Office

of the Secretary of State and with the Clerk and Recorder of
Pitkin County, pursuant to the requirements set forth under
Section 12 of said Act.
Section 3: A public hearing on the Ordinance shall
be held at , at P.M. in the
City Council Chambers, City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
