AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ASPEN,
COLORADO OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY OR REAL ESTATE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, LYING OUTSIDE OF, BUT ADJACENT TO
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
WHEREAS, a Petition for the annexation was filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Aspen on October 22, 1971
requesting the annexation of the territory hereinafter describ-
ed, which Petition meets all of. the requirements of the applic-
able section of the "Colorado Municipal Annexation Act of 1965"
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of
and adopted a Resolution on
said Petition for annexation,
be annexed by ordinance: and,
WHEREAS, the Petition for annexation of this
the City of Aspen passed

and resolving that said property

or real estate, described in this ordinance, has been signed by
the owners of 100% of the property proposed to be annexed,
exclusive of streets and alleys, and said Petition has been
filed with the City Clerk; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1: That the following described tract of
land, to wit:
West Aspen Subdivision, Filing #3, Lot #3

which land is situated in the County of Pitkin, State of Colo-
rado, and adjoining and touching the boundary line of the City
of Aspen and situated that not less than 1/6th of the aggregate
external boundaries of said tract of land coincide with the
existing boundaries of the City of Aspen, Colorado be hereby
added to, annexed, taken into and made a part of the City of
Aspen, Colorado.
Section 2: That the Annexation map and certified
copies of the original annexing ordinance be filed with the Office
of the Clerk of the City of Aspen, and with the Office of the
Secretary of State and with the Clerk and Recorder of Pitkin
County, pursuant to the requirements set forth under Section 12
of said Act.
Section 3: A public hearing on the Ordinance shall
be held at ~/57~? ?~?~z~ , at~.~ P. M. in the
City Council Chambers, City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ORDERED published as provided by
law by the City Council of Aspen, Colorado, at its regular
meeting held at the City of Aspen on the /.~ day of _~.
