AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
ASPEN, COLORADO OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY OR REAL ESTATE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, LYING OUTSIDE
OF, BUT ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
WHEREAS, a Petition for the annexation was filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Aspen on April 12, 1972,
requesting the annexation of the territory hereinafter des-
cribed, which Petition meets all of the requirements of
the applicable section of the "Colorado Municipal Annex-
ation Act of 1965" and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen
passed and adopted a Resolution on ~;~ ~ ,
1972, accepting said Petztzon for annexatzon, ana resolving
that said property be annexed by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Petition for annexation of this terr-
itory or real estate, described in this ordinance, has been
signed by the owners of 100% of the property proposed to be
annexed, exclusive of streets and alleys, and said Petition
has been filed with the City Clerk, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1:
That the following described tract of land, to wit:
A parcel of land in Section 1, T10S, R85W of the 6th
P.M., Pitkin County, Colorado, comprising a part of
the SW~SW~ being more fully described as follows:
Lot 1, Block 2, Pitkin Mesa Subdivision and
that part of County Road 19 lying adjacent to said
Lot 1 described as beginning at the northwesterly
corner of said Lot 1; thence S.81°58'09'' Wo 60.00
feet to the westerly R.O.W. line of said County
Road 19; thence 98.79 feet along said westerly
R.O.W. line around the arc of a curve to the left
having a radius of 339.56 feet and whose chord bears

S.16°25'54'' E. 98.44 feet; thence S.24°45'58'' E.
68.52 feet along said westerly R.O.W. line;
thence 46 29 feet along said westerly R.O.W.
line around the arc of a curve to the right hav-
ing a radius of 312.90 feet and whose chord
bears S.20°31'41'' E. 46.25 feet; thence N.73°
42'36" E. 60.00 feet to the easterly R.O.W.
line of said County Road 19; thence 55.17 feet
along said easterly R.O.W. line around the arc
of a curve to the left having a radius of
372.90 feet and whose chord bears N.20°31'41''
W.55.12 feet; thence N.24°45'58'' W. 68.52 feet
along said easterly R.O.W. line; thence 81.33
feet along said easterly R.O.W. line around the
arc of a curve to the right having a radius of
279 56 feet and whose chord bears N.16°25'54'' W.
81.04 feet to the point of beginning. Contain-
ing 0.70 acres,
which land is situated in the County of Pitkin, State of
Colorado, and adjoining and touching the boundary line of
the City of Aspen and situated that not less than 1/6th of
the aggregate external boundaries o~ said tract of land coin-
cide with the existing boundaries of the City of Aspen,
Colorado be hereby added to, annexed, taken into and made a
part of the City of Aspen, Colorado.
Section 2:
That the annexation map and certified copies of the
original annexing ordinance be filed with the Office of the
Clerk of the City of Aspen, and with the Office of the Secretary
of State and with the Clerk and Recorder of Pitkin County, pur-
suant to the requirements set forth under Section 12 of said Act.
Section 3:
A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held on
May 22~ 1972 at 5:00 P.M. in the City Council
Chambers, City Hall Building, Aspen, Colorado.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ORDERED published as provided
by law by the City Council of Aspen, Colorado, at its regular
m_e. eting held at the City of Aspen on the 8th day of May
