ORDINANCE NO.
(Series of 1972)
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
ASPEN, COLORADO, OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY OR REAL PRO-
PERTY PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, LYING
OUTSIDE OF, BUT ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation was filed with
the City Clerk of the City of Aspen on June 5, 1972, request-
ing the annexation of the territory hereinafter described,
which petition meets all of the requirements of the applic-
able sections of the Colorado Municipal Annexation Act of
1965.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen
passed and adopted.a.resolution~°nJx~'~'~'"~ ~ , 1972,
accepting said petltzon for anne a~pion and resolving
that
said territory be annexed by ordinance and that the territory
to be annexed be zoned AR-1 with improvements to be constructed
in accordance with the site plan and landscaping design on
file with the City Building Inspector.
AND WHEREAS, the petition for annexation of this
territory or real property, described in this ordinance has
been signed by the owner of one hundred (100%) percent of
the property proposed to be annexed, exclusive of streets and
alleys.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council
of the City of Aspen, Colorado:
Section 1
That the following described tract of land, to wit:
A parcel of land being part of the North Texas
Millsite M.S. 3288, lying Westerly of and con-
tiguous with line 6-7 of Aspen Townsite, more
fully described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Easterly line
of said North Texas Millsite whence corner
no. 2 of said North Texas Millsite

ning, containing 2.214 acres, more or less;
which land is situated in the County of Pitkin, State of
Colorado, and adjoining and touching the boundary line of the
City of Aspen, and that not less than one-sixth of the
aggregate external boundaries of said tract of land coincide
with the existing boundaries of the City of Aspen, Colorado,
be hereby added to, annexed, taken into and made a part of
the City of Aspen, Colorado.
Section 2.
That the Annexation Map and certified copies of the
original Annexing Ordinance be filed with the office of the
Clerk of the City of Aspen, and with the office of the Secretary
of State, and with the office of the Clerk and Recorder of
Pitkin County, Colorado, pursuant to the requirements set

forth under Section 12 of said Municipal Annexation Act.
Section 3.
A public hearing on the Ordinance shall be held on
