HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.015-72RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves ORDINANCE NO. ~ (Series of 1972) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 24-2(f) ENTITLED "DWELLING UNIT" AND SECTION 24-2(pp) ENTITLED "BOARDING HOUSE, ROOMING HOUSE, DORMITORY"; INCREASING THE MINIMUM SQUARE FOOTAGE OF LOT AREA REQUIRED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ROW HOUSES, MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLINGS, HOTEL~MOTEL, LODGE AND DWELLING UNITS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1. Section 24-2(f) of the Municipal~o~e of the.City of Aspen is hereby amended to read as follows. "Sec. 24-2. Definitions. (f) R-MF RESIDENTIAL-MULTIPLE FAMILY: Minimum lot area: 1. One-family dwelling. 2. Two-family dwelling. 3. Patio house 4. Row house. 5. Multiple family dwelling . 6. Ail other uses Section 4. 6,000 square feet 3,000 square feet per dwelling unit with a minimum lot area of 6,000 square feet 2,000 square feet 2,000 square feet 2,000 square feet of lot area per unlimited dwelling unit; 1,750 square feet of lot area per one bedroom (limit- ed) dwelling unit and 1,500 square feet of lot area per studio; limited dwelling unit with a minimum lot area of 6,000 square feet 6,000 square feet" Minimum lot areas within Section 24-6(a) entitled "AR-1 ACCOMMODATIONS RECREATION - URBAN" are hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 24-6. (b) C-C COMMERCIAL CORE: Minimum lot area: 1. Hotel, motel, lodge. 2. Boarding house, rooming house, dormitory 3. Ail other uses. 3,000 square feet For purposes of density calculations, for each square foot of public arcade space created at ground level, or open space in addition to the required open space, on the build- ing site, credit shall be given for an additional two square feet of lot area in determining the allowable number of dwelling units. Section 7. If any provision of this ordinance or the application there- of to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalid- ity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 8. A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held at ~~ ~Y~ ?f?~-~at ,~?~-~ P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall Building, Aspen, Colorado.
