RE. solution 92 RESOLUTION 93, SERIES OF 1974 - Councilman DeGregorio moved to read Resolution ~3, Ser~es 197~. SEconded by Councilwoman Pedersen. All in favor, motion carried. Resolution was read in full by the Ctiy Clerk (See resolution book.) Councilwoman Mark~lunas moved to adopt Resolution ~3, Series of 1974. SEconded by Council- man Walls. Councilmember COUNCILMEMBER COMMENTS Comments a. - Local organiZer for the ce~ebrit~ Tennis T~q~nament to be held the last weekend in Jul was present to ask for Council's endorsement of the tournament and support. Celebrit~vTennis Tournament Councilman Walls moved to endorse and support as much as possible this event. SEconded by Councilwoman Pedersen. All in favor, motion carried. b. - UNDERGROUND PARKING - Wagner Park add/or City streets - Mayor Standley informed ~ounci Under~pund~ that he had been approached by a man from Illinois who would like to discuss with Council parking underground parking. Council request the Mayor so invite the gentleman to meet with Council c. - Mall CO - Ordinator - Councilwoman Pedersen moved that the City Council appoint Micha Mal.1 Co-Ordin- Kin~ey as Mall C'o-ordinator pursuant to acceptance of a job description and hourly salary. ator Seconded by Councilman Behrendt. The sanitarian will be riding with the trash truck and report back any problems. City Attorney is re-writing the ordinance reco~8:izing dumpsters. Mr. Fred Smith stated the large dumpsters are used because they require only one man; the trash service should be permitted to have the small roll out kind of dumpster that could be kept in the alleys. City A-ttorney and Mr. Mahoney to check out the smaller dumpsters. Advertisement g. - Council request the City Clerk advertise the vacancies on the HPC and P & Z. of Vacancies' o'n HPC & P & Z h. - Councilman Walls request the City Manager check on the parkin~ problems on east cooper next to the bridge and Hallam Street next to the Villa. Councilman Walls moved to go into executive session. Seconded by Couniclman DeGregorio. All in favor,_motion carried. Council reconvened into regular session. Councilman DeGregorio moved to appoint Phillip Mahoney as the City Manager at a salary of $24,000 and Mr. Mahoney to submit his contract to Council for review. Seconded by Coun- cilman Behrendt. All in favor, motion carried. Councilman Walls moved to adjourn at 8:45 p.m., seconded by Councilman DeGregorio. All in favor, meeting adjourned.
