Present were Councilmen Beyer, Moore, Newell and Zordel, Mayor Garrlsh, Building Inspector Markalunas, Jack Walls, Fritz Benedict and Lester Luhnow. Jack Walls said the Planning Commission were opposed to rezoning just for one building; that they could not oppose the five story building if it were built on the Five story five building zoned lots. He showed three plans indicating that the building could be building- built on the five business lots. He also said the Planning Commission felt that the Vroom business district was not sufficiently developed to warrant rezoning, and that they were opposed to rezoning forindividuals. Fritz Benedict said he felt that the building should not be construced in a contrary! manner just to conform to the five lot area. Discussed - parking area desirable; long range planning; procedure for rezoning. Roy Vroom requested an opinion from Council, as to whether he should ask,~ for re- zoning or present the matter to the Board of Adjustment, and they informed him that it was entirely up to him. The meeting was adjourned at 6:20 PM.
