MayOr Pro-rem/called the meeting to order at 3:55 PM, with Councilmen Kuster, Budget
Barnard~and Stapleton, and City Administrator Kerr~gan present. Mayor Pabst was Hearing
absent.
Also present were Rev. Keith Merriman, Fred Braun, and Bill Dunaway,
The Budget for 1966 was then discussed, and Mr. Kerrigan outlined the Rims of
the budget.
Particularly dicussed were:
Outside maintenance of Wheeler Opera House.
Charges for engineering.
Filing of surveys made.
Building Inspection.
Communications system - change may hav~ to be made.
Council decided that the salary of the Police Magistrate is to be increased Salary
from $75,00 to $100.00 a month, and the salary of the Clerk from ~400.00 to $450.00 Increases
per month, and provision for these increases is to be made i~ the new budget, and
the Municipal Code is to be amended accordingly. No change in Mayor and Council salarie; .
Additional potide car discussed - and Council agreed that the Gity Administra- Police Car
tot is to call for bids on a compact car.
Mr. Braun asked for a contribution in 1966 for the Aspen Rescue Group (same Contri-
amount as 1965 - $300.00) and he was informed that this has been provided in bution-Rescue
Council r~presentation. Group.
The budget adopting ordinance will be read at the regu~ r meeting ~of ~ctober 4,
1965.
The hearing was adjourned at 5:55 PM.
