HomeMy WebLinkAboutminutes.council.19660921 Special Meeting Aspen City Council September 21, 1966 Meeting convened at 5:10 p.m. for the purpose of submitting the budget with Mayor Barnard, Councilmen David Stapleton, Werner Kuster, William MCEachern, Clyde Clymer, Administrator Leon Wurl, and head of the Finance Department, Richard Flewelling. Mayor Barnard presented two individual Resolutions to Officer Alvin Zimmer and Sanitarian, Donald Koenig for recognition of schools attended. Wurl stated the school request the City close off the street between Close Street for Garmisch and Aspen during the lunch hour for the kids to ride their bicycles School etc. Ail Councilmen inagreement to this. The school also request the City pave around the elementary school between the curb and sidewalk. Approximate cost $800.00. Administrator Wurl stated he felt the City could not afford to do this. Councilmen agreed not to grant the request. Administrator Wurl submitted the budget with the figures the employees Budget 1967 and he felt the City needed. Mr. Wurl then item by item outlined to Council the cuts made in the budget. Proposed expenditures $176,756.00 over revenues. Total budget $951,366.95. Meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m. with all in favor.
