HomeMy WebLinkAboutminutes.council.19720815City Council and County Commissioners August 15, 1972 Present: Mayor Eve Homeyer, Councilmen Ross Griffin, Scott Nystrom and Francis Whitaker, County Commissioner J. Baxter and Clyde Vagneur. Also present City Attorney Albert Kern and County Attorney Leonard Oates. Meeting called to discuss offer made by Harcld Pabst of land gift. County Attorney Oates explained the procedure for establishinq a recreation district. Councilman Whitaker explained the City's concern that a district would include the present city recreation department. Commissioner Baxter stated he felt that if such a district were formed, it would eventually be logical to include the recreation department. Four mills was suggested to cover the cost of items requested by Mr. Pabst along with the gift. Meeting adjourned at 5:45 p.m. ar , y CORRECTION TO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 14, '1972 Finance Director - Manager Wurl reported Mr. Dennis Veeder is leaving the City to take a position as City Manager of Park City, Utah. Recgmmend Council RATIFY the appointment of William Leslie as the Acting Finance Director and advertise fora finance director. Councilman Comcowich moved to ratify the appointment of William Leslie as Acting Finance Director and City Manager Wurl be authorized to do everything necessary uo seek applications to permanently fill the positron as finance director.
