Attached is a copy of the proposed air conditioning system for
City Hall. The proposed structures are to be located on top of
City Hall on the flat portion of the roof. The description of
the location of the air cooling units has been described to me as
being below the existing roofline. The roof of city Hall is a
shiny metal which is highly visible from the Court House View
Plane. The proposed 3x2x4 foot cooling structures are an almond
yellow color which will not be nearly as visible as the rest of
the existing roof. Since these structures will not extend above
the existing roof line no further review of these attachments
appears to be necessary.
I recommend that the cooling system structures to be located on
City Hall should be exempt from review pursuant to section 7-505
B of the Land Use Code.
