AN ORDINANCE REZONZN; THE SOUTH TWENTY-FIVE (25) FEET OF
LOTS F, G, ~I and I, BLOCK-' 66, THE CIT~ AND TOWNSITE
OF ASPEN, PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, HORE CO~OI~ ~
KNOWN AS THE SARDY HOUSE PROPERTY, FRO~ R-6 (RESIDENTIAl,}
TO 'O (H) - OFFICE (HISTORIC DESIGNATION)
WHEREAS, an application submitted by the owners of the Sardy
House has been sponsored by the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission
to rezone to "0 (H) - Office (Historic Designation) the south 25 feet
of Lots F, G, H and I, Block 66 as a condition of the Conditional Use
permit for a Bed and Breakfast Use of the Sardy House granted April 2,
1985; and
WHEREAS, at a duly noticed public hearing held on Jun 18, 1985,
the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission did recommend to the Aspen
City Council that said rezoning be approved; and
WHEREAS, the Aspen City Council has considered the recommendation
of the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission and has determined that
the proposed rezoning is compatible with surrounding zone districts
and land use in the vicinity of the site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESO~VED HYTHE CITTCOUNCIL OFT HE CITx OF
ASPEN, COLORADO:
That it does hereby rezone to "0 (H) - Office (Historical)" the
south 25 feet of Lots F, G, H and I, Block 66, City and original
Townsite of Aspen, Pitkin County, Colorado.

That the Zoning District Map be and hereby is amended to reflect
the rezoning described in Section 1 and the City Engineer is hereby
authorized and directed to amend said Map to reflect said rezoning
Section 3
That the City Clerk be and hereby is directed, upon the adoption
of this Ordinance, to record a copy of this Ordinance in the Office of
the Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion
of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional
by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a

separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall
not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof.

A public hearing on the Ordinance shall be held on the /~-~ day
of ~, 1985, at 5:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers. Aspen
City gall, Aspen, Colorado, fifteen (15) days prior to which hearing
notice of the same shall be published once in a newspaper of general
circulation within the City of Aspen.
