AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20-16 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, PER-
TAINING TO REQUIRED SUBDIVISION IMPROVEMENTS, SO AS TO INCLUDE
CABLE TELEVISION LINES AMONG THE LIST OF IMPROVEMENTS TO BE PRO-
VIDED BY THE SUBDIVIDER
WHEREAS, in recognition of the enhanced state of cable tele-
vision technology, the City Council desires to include cable tele-
vision lines within the list of improvements to be provided by the
subdivider in accordance with Section 20-16(a) of the Municipal
Code of the City of Aspen, Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
Subsection (a) of Section 20-16 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Aspen be and the same is hereby amended, so as to include
television lines by inserting the following language after item
number "15":
"(16) Cable television lines."
and renumbering the presently numbered "16" pertaining to "other
improvements not specifically mentioned above but found necessary
by the City Engineer due to the nature of the subdivision as
'17'"
Section 2
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or
portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remainIng portions thereof.
