AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN AGREEMEN~ BETWEEN THE GENERAL ELECTRIC
COMPANY AND THE CIT~ OF ASPEN AND PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, FOR THE
OPERATION, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF THE RUEDI HYDROELECTRIC
FACILITY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY O~ ASPEN
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best inter-
ests of the City of ~spen, its inhabitants and visitors to enter
into an agreement bet/ween General Electric Company and the City of
Aspen and Pitkin County, Colorado, providing for the operation,
maintenance and repai~ of the Ruedi Hydroelectric facility, which
agreement is appended/hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference. I,
NOW, THEREFORE, Bp IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORAD.):
Section 1
That the City Coui.cil of the City of Aspen does approve an
agreement between General Electric Company and the City of Aspen
and Pitkin County, Colo!:ado, attached hereto and incorporated by
this reference, which a, reement provides for the operation,
maintenance and repair df the Ruedi Hydroelectric facility
and does further authori/ze the Mayor, on the effective date of
this ordinance, to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of
Aspen. i
Section 2
If any section, sub~ection, sentence, clause, phrase or
portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or
unconstitutional by any c~urt of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed aiseparate, distinct and independent
provision and such holdin~ shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions thereofi.

Section 3
A public hear;ng on the ordinance shall be held on the

City Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
