AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, AND PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, PROVIDIt
FOR THE CREATION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A PUBLIC
TATION SYSTEM BY A JOINT TRANSIT AGENCY AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council an
Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Aspen and Pitk n
County providing for the creation, operation and maintenance of a
public transportation system by a joint transit agency,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
That the City Council of the City of Aspen does approve th(
Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Aspen and Pitki~
County, attached hereto and incorporated by this reference; and
does further authorize the Mayor, on the effective date of this
ordinance, to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of
Aspen.
Section 2
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or
portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions thereof.
Section 3
A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held on the
day of ~~~..~ , 1983, at 5:00 P.M. in
the City Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
