HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.052-00 ORDINANCE NO. 52 (Series of 2000) AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING GENERAL FUND EXPENDITURES OF $851,962; TRANSFERRING $50,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO PARKS AND OPEN SPACE FUND; TRANSFERRING $250,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOND FUND; APPROPRIATING WHEELER FUND EXPENDITURES OF $86,000; TRANSFERRING $50,000 FROM THE WHEELER FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND; APPROPRIATING PARKS & OPEN SPACE FUND EXPENDITURES OF $1,094,280; APPROPRIATING AFFORDABLE HOUSlNG/DAYCARE FUND EXPENDITURES OF $799,062; TRANSFERRING $50,000 FROM AFFORDABLE HOUSlNG//DAYCARE FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND; APPROPRIATING WATER FUND EXPENSES OF $191,150; TRANSFERRING $99,000 FROM THE WATER FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND; APPROPRIATING TRANSPORTATION/PARKING FUND EXPENDITURES OF $45,000; APPROPRIATING EXPENDITURES OF $21,100 IN THE RED BRICK CAPITAL PROJECT FUND; TRANSFERRING $25,000 FROM THE ELECTRIC FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND;. WHEREAS, by virtue of Section 9.12 of the Home Rule Charter, the City Council may make supplemental appropriations; and , WHEREAS, the City Manager has certified that the City has unappropriated current year revenues and/or unappropriated prior year fund balance available for appropriation in the General Fund, Parks & Open Space Fund, Wheeler Fund, Affordable Housing/Daycare Fund, Water Fund, Electric Fund, Transportation/Parking Fund and Red Brick Capital Project Fund WHEREAS, the City Council is advised that certain expenditures, revenues and transfers must be approved, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1 Upon the City Manager's certification that there are current year revenues and/or prior year fund balance available for appropriation in the General Fund, Parks & Open Space Fund, Wheeler Fund, Affordable Housing/Daygam Fund, Water Fund, Parking Improvement Fund, Electric Fund, Transportation/Parking Fund and Red Brick Capital Project Fund; the City Council hereby makes supplemental appropriations as itemized in Exhibit "1", Exhibit "2" and Exhibit "3" attached. Section 2 If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion thereof. Section 3 A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held on the 27th of November, 2000 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
